2012 Angels Around the World #2 - Germany

While my favorite in the series is Mexico, followed by America, I prefer to write reviews on this site for ornaments that don't have any, so this is my third favorite in the series, Germany. Germany was the reason I was glad I started this series. While Ireland has a beautiful dress, wings, and shoes, her face is kind of lackluster for me, so I was a bit concerned about how this series would develop. Luckily the second in the series was beautiful in the face and the rest of the angels followed suit. I love the cutouts in her wings (all of the angels have some nod to their country on their wings, Germany's being kind of woodcarving). I love the yellow color since it's bright and cheerful and looks good on a tree. The red bird is lovely too, and she has probably the most beautiful face of any of the angels in this series. It's very calm and serene. All of the angels in the series are lightweight too, which I like.
