New for 2012 - The new Child's Age Collection ornaments create a "train" beginning with the My First Chrismas locomotive and ending with the My Third Christmas caboose.

The My Second Christmas ornament features a reindeer and penguin riding happily atop the center car of the train. The car is decorated with candy canes, the wheels are spritz cookies. The reindeer holds a big "cookie" 2.

My Second Christmas

As a day care provider who cared for a new infant until 3-4-5 yrs old, there was no better Christmas gift for me to give them then my lst, and 2nd, and 3rd Christmas photo ornament.This cute, insignificant, plastic ornament brings that child joy year after year when they hang them all on the tree together. I know this because the Mother's of these children tell me how their child "loves" to "line them up in a row", or "loves to touch and handle their "own personal Christmas ornament" I write on the back something small and special and of course I have to sign my name so they won't forget where they got it from and who cared for them all the way to the start of school. For many years I have purchased in advance years 1,2,3,4,& 5, (when Hallmark made them thru the 5th Christmas)and I would put sticky notes on the boxes with their name so I wouldn't be confused the next year. One time a Mother didn't even notice I wrote on the ornaments or notice they all were 1,2,3rd Christmas's until the 3rd year and then loved it and thought "She must have planned these before hand". But I knew, even if the Mother didn't see it as a significant gift to receive from the one person whose suppose to care so much about their child, and the one they wrote a check out to week after week, year after year, that the child would grow and fondly touch their little ornament and remember 'what', 'who', 'why', and 'when'. I'm 67 and I've seen kid's joy of seeing something that is "Theirs" year after year. For this ornament I give it a 5 star. Not because it's the best in the world, but because it's the fondest of the child's world when they were with me.
