This stunning ornament was the hit of the 2015 season, underproduced and quickly sold out nationwide! It was reissued in a slightly different box in 2016. The one we are selling was issued in 2015.
This ruby red cardinal celebrates the natural beauty of birds with precious gemstones and colored enamel.
This ornament is part of the 'premium' collection offered by Hallmark Gold Crown stores in 2015. These ornaments feature the finest materials and embellishments.

Satiny crimson
This cardinal is very pretty in person. It has a beautiful sheen to the satiny red color. It is very heavy, though. I'm not sure my tree's branches will hold it up.

The "bird" itself is very pretty but not at all like the Beauty of Birds ornament series. It is quite heavy and much larger - all of which I would not have an issue with - BUT the hook attached to the bird for hanging is too far back so the bird hangs down with it's beak pointed toward the ground. I don't fault "Hooked on Hallmark" for this defect but have written to Hallmark and received no response whatsoever.
