UNPAINTED PROTOTYPE MOLD SAMPLE
AND, PAINTED PROTOTYPE OF A NEVER ISSUED Hallmark NEON STAR ORNAMENT
This NEON STAR Hallmark Keepsake Ornament was assigned a stock number of QLX7316...but was never issued
The "L" in the stock number indicates that it was to be a lighted ornament and the ornament name suggests neon lighting, which to the best of my knowledge has never been used in a Hallmark ornament and may be the reason it was not manufactured.
These two prototypes were purchased from the collection the Retired & Now Deceased Hallmark Keepsake Artist LaDene Voturba
THE NAME AND STOCK NUMBER along with the word CANCELLED are written on a slip of paper by LaDene. (see photo) We are unsure of the year that LaDene sculpted these prototypes, but guess early 1990's
This purchase includes a very rare Unpainted Prototype MOLD SAMPLE Ornament + A SECOND Hand Painted more complete version (it does not light )
