MINI MEMORIES were test marketed by Hallmark in 1987 at a few test stores. Each store that participated in the Mini Memories test were sold 18 to 20 of each of the 20 figures.
Hallmark produced only 40 to 50 sets in total, but many did not survive which makes them one of the rarest of Hallmark Collectibles.
These very tiny (1 1/2 - 2") highly detailed resin figures proved to be very fragile...many arrived damaged with broken ears, etc and some test stores refused & returned their shipment.
.Thus Breakage prevented them from being put into full production and makes them VERY RARE.
When MINI MEMORIES proved too fragile to produce Hallmark reintroduced many of them into the larger-in-size TENDER TOUCHES Line which was tested in 1988 and put into production.
