From Clinton Missouri, Linda Sickman is one of the original artists to work for Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments. Linda has been working for Hallmark since 1963 and started working for Hallmark Keepsake in 1975. At first, Linda created tin ornaments which later led to the creation of over 400 different types of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments. Linda created the Americana Series, Rocking Horses Series, Nutcrackers Series, Tin Locomotives Series, miniature ornaments, and many other ornaments.
Tin Locomotive Series
Considered to be one of Linda’s favorite series is the Tin Locomotive. Linda was the first at Hallmark to start creating tin ornaments. She loved working with tin and how the ornaments always turned out so lightweight and easily hung on any tree. Linda had gotten the idea to do the Tin Locomotive Series because ever since she was a child she loved playing with her older brother's train set. Using litho printing the color would always stand out giving every ornament a beautiful shine.
After over 40 years of being with Hallmark Keepsake, Linda is now retired. She will be making an appearance here on October 7th, 2023 at Hooked on Ornaments 25th Year Warehouse Sale. Linda will be signing ornaments of her creations from her many years at Hallmark Keepsake.
