Accidents happen and here at Hooked on Ornaments we want to show you some tips and tricks for repairing your damaged ornaments. With just a few simple at-home items, your ornaments will be good as new!
REGLUE your Hallmark Ornaments
Many Hallmark ornaments are factory assembled much like a model airplane. The parts fit together held in place with adhesive. Sometimes the glue gives way and simply needs to be refreshed. At Hooked on Ornaments we use Super Glue (gel or liquid) and use the tiniest drop that will hold best.
Place one drop of glue on a piece of tin foil and apply with a toothpick. Often your Hallmark ornament is as good as new, perhaps even better!
VINTAGE MOTION Hallmark Ornaments
For fire safety reasons, Hallmark Motion Ornaments should not be "tinkered with" and are not repairable. However, if the motion has stopped moving, it may just be "stuck". Simply slam it down on a hard surface and hopefully away it will go!
PORCELAIN Hallmark Ornaments
Porcelain is harder to repair than plastic. Often the repair will show and perhaps will not hold. But, give it a try with Super Glue (what do you have to lose)?
Hopefully, the above repair suggestions will save your ornament treasure. But if a replacement is needed, at Hooked on Ornaments, we've got you covered, with the LARGEST HALLMARK Inventory in the World.
